Usage

Copy and paste the section below to the top of the article, and fill in the information areas. The image and caption parameters are optional, but are preferred.

If any parameters are left undefined they will not appear. The recommended image size is a width of 250px so that it will completely fill the infobox without increasing its size.

Do NOT add wiki links to alignments.

A brief explanation of the fields used follows:

• Name: is only necessary if it differs substantially from the Page Name.
• Image: should only use files which have been already uploaded, in this format : .
• Caption: the words or sentences which appear beaneath the image to explain what it is, where it is from, and the artist's name.
• Alt Name: If the Holiday has more than one commonly used name, or has names used in other regions, list them here.
• Partof: if the holiday take place part of a larger holiday. E.g., the Desportium of Magick is part of Growfest.
• Type: This field should list the type of Holiday (religious, civic, racial, regional, etc).
• Deity: any deities which are associated with the holiday, or hold it sacred.
• Location: where the holiday is celebrated. Use wikilinks where appropriate in place names.
• Frequency: If the Holiday is recurring, the frequency of the observance (annual, biannual, quarterly, et cetera) should appear here.
• Date: All dates should be reckoned via the Common Year. Events that occur more than four times per year should avoid posting specific dates, in the interest of conserving space in the infobox.
If the date is annual, put the month and day inside double brackets, e.g. - Richfest 4.
If the date is only a year, then only the numeric value of a year is necessary. "CY" will be appended automatically and a link created to the article for that year.
• Duration: the length of the celebrated holiday.
• Observed: Participants should be identified in this field. Add wiki links to articles on listed races or people by putting the name of the group inside double brackets, like this.
• Activities: a brief statement of events which take place during the holiday, or common practices.
• Significance: A short (no more than a single sentence) explanation of the significance of the holiday should appear in this field.
