The Steelbone Meadows is a site in the Bandit Kingdoms, known for being the place where thousands of soldiers were slain in a bloody massacre at the end of the Greyhawk Wars. While an army of 10,000 bandits celebrated, a cleric of Iuz named Bernel of Hallorn who was present, gripped by mad paranoia that the bandits intended to betray him, set orc assassins, fiends and magic upon them, slaying more than half.
While this act has condemned Bernel to a likely unpleasant existence in the dungeons of Dorakaa, the survivors of this massacre have nursed a deep resentment for Iuz.
