This year is the latest possible date for any event described as "over 1,000 years ago" as of 591 CY, such as the sinking of the Isles of Woe (Slavers p.17). The Isles are described in Slavers p.17 as a possible seat of Vecna's empire, though according to Dragon #348 p.19, "Core Beliefs: Vecna", he ruled "a thousand years ago" (-405 CY). If we take this date to be exact, the isles had already sunk. However, a broader interpretation would make it possible that Vecna was betrayed around -405 CY and the isles sunk upon his defeat.
