The Almorian Protectorate, later the Duchy of Almor, is a province of the Kingdom of Nyrond.

Description

King Lynwerd as part of his reforms of Nyrond reorganized provincial administration which commenced Needfest 1, 591 CY. The part of the Prelacy of Almor previously taken by Nyrond in 586 CY was made one of the provinces, as the Almorian Protectorate with the capital at Mithat and its Governor as former general Younard. At that time major regiments remained in the lands of "Old Almor".

Heraldry

The Living Greyhawk campaign Triad for the Nyrond region created heraldry for the various provinces. See image above.

Living Greyhawk campaign

In the Living Greyhawk campaign, the Duchy featured in several adventures. It was also detailed in the "Nyrond Gazetteer" fan-created sourcebook. The organizing Triad for the Nyrond region created maps of Nyrond showing the borders of various provinces, including the Duchy.

In late 592 CY King Lynwerd formed the Protectorate into a duchy with adjusted borders. Almor north of the Flessern river was granted to the Duchy of Womtham. The Almorian Proectorate, with the northern part of the Duchy of Korenflass (including the city of Mithat, which became the capital) became the Duchy of Almor. The Almorian city of Narsel Mendred became part of the Duchy of Womtham.
