Winetha is a costal city on Solnor Coat of the former Great Kingdom, North of the Free City of Roland, which now falls under the jurisdiction of the North Kingdom. The city is a relatively minor trading port.
History
During the Greyhawk Wars, Prince Lakaster of House Torquaan cooperated with Ivid as fully as he could, allowing Winetha to be used as a vital supply port and working closely with the Sea Barons. The one order he refused was an order to send Winetha's navy to Asperdi to provide direct support to the Sea Barons. That refusal saved his city, as shortly afterwards, there was a barbarian sea raid on the city, which the six war galleys were instrumental in fighting off.

The city is part of the North Kingdom, which broke off from the Great Kingdom after the disappearance of Ivid V and the sealing off of Rauxes after the Greyhawk Wars. The city and the surrounding lands to the west and south are ruled by Prince Lakaster of House Torquann, who has several Torquann liegemen who have militias they can muster. He does not impose particularly high taxes on said liegemen, as the port brings in enough traffic to keep the coffers relatively full. Winetha is known for its court wizards, numerous powerful spell casters under the control of Prince Lakaster.
