History
Before the incident is Rauxes which led to the final break-up of the Great Kingdom, Prince Dilweg was hoping to be the Darman noble that took the Malachite Throne from Ivid V. His strategy for achieving this over any of his cousins was to push for a sudden and decisive strike on Rauxes, in part because he knew that Xavener's power and influance would only grow as time went on (He was correct in this assessment, as proven by the fact that Xavener did become overking when the Great Kingdom fell and the Kingdom of Ahlissa was formed). He had also, unsuccessfully, tried to seek the support of House Cranden to that end. He had support of many of the younger Darmen Princes, as well as a number of prominent generals, due to his charisma and history of service during the Greyhawk Wars.
