This page contains a listing all of the various creatures of the World of Greyhawk™ which are considered "races", in that they are sentient, not monsters, and most importantly—are possible choices for use as characters in at least one edition.

There is a difficult line in deciding what is a "Race" and what is a "Creature" or "Monster" because these groupings make a Venn Diagram. There's overlap in what are considered by different people to be in each group. This is a purposeful ambiguity, because in the City of Greyhawk, "unusual creatures" exist in a legal "gray area" where ofttimes city guards (and judges) enforce the criminal code regarding whether someone is a "person" or "monster" with varying interpretations^[1].

♦ For the purpose of this wiki, we avoid a strict definition, to present as much information as possible. There may be some "monstrous" creatures which are included here because they are notable in Greyhawk like orcs, drow, centaurs, lizardmen, quaggoths, beastmen, or githyanki, in addition to Dwarves, Elves, Gnomes, Halflings, Humans, et al.
