The Franz River marks the border between Nyrond and the County of Urnst. It is a tributary of the Nesser River, and is navigable from the Nyr Dyv to Trigol.[1] Along its length, shallow-draft river boats are home to the wealthy and unscrupulous alike. This border is now quiet but was once hotly contested resulting in a number of old keeps, many in ruins, lining either bank.[2]
