Burning Cliffs

In the Barren Wastes north of the Rovers of the Barrens, facing the Icy Sea between the Cold Marshes and the Forlorn Forest, is the Burning Cliffs. The black flammable rock of the cliffs burns eternally, and the burning has been spreading inland in recent centuries.

Features and settlements

Within the Burning Cliffs, there is a portal leading to the City of Brass. Beings of the Elemental Plane of Fire have entered the Material Plane from this portal. Iuz and the Horned Society have been recruiting evil fire creatures from among their number. A shrine to Pyremius is located on the northern coast.
