Antalotol is on the northwestern border of the unforgiving Plain of Atal on the eastern side of Wadi Khijar about 250 miles south of Dhabiya. It stands atop the only high ground in the area for a 35-mile radius, affording it a well-chosen strategic location.

People

Population

The majority of the people in Antalotol are orcish, due to the majority of Zeif's orcish population being in the immediate vicinity of the city. Though they are descended from the first mercenaries in the Suel-Baklunish Wars, the local orc population are generally "tribeless" and do not exhibit the same tribal attitudes and behavior as orcs elsewhere, and they form a lowerclass of laborers and indigent scavengers.

Languages

The orcish language is not publicly spoken, despite the majority of the population being orcish. Many orcish words, though, have wheedled their way into slang and vernacular, and is used in jargon and cant of thieves.

Notes

Antalotol is mentioned in the World of Greyhawk as the southern most town in Zief.
