Writing guidelines: Locations
In addition to the general Writing Guidelines, articles on locations (including cities, towns and villages) should be in the following format; note that some subjects will not require every section: The Greyhawk Location infobox should be used for all location articles, with as many values filled in as possible. The infobox should include the location’s name and if applicable (i.e. for cities, towns and villages featuring such), and whenever possible, should feature the heraldic device of the location. The introductory sentence should include both the location's common and full name, as well as general location (Pomarj, Keoland, etc).
Description
A general overview of the location should be provided.
Geography
The location's precise location within a realm or nation, surroundings, major geographical features (rivers, forests, mountain ranges, etc), and climate should be listed here.
People
An overview of the location's population, if applicable, should be noted in this section.
Population
The location's numeric population with a CY date, if applicable, should be listed here.
Religion
The known major religions practiced in the location, official and unofficial, of a populated location should be noted here.
Languages
The location's major languages if a populated location appear under this heading.
History
This section should contain a historical overview of the location.
Realm
Which realm the location is located within, if subject to government of a realm, should be detailed here.
Heraldry
A description of the location's heraldry, if applicable, appears in this section.
Economy
Information on the location's economy appears under this heading.
Resources
The location's most important resources are listed here.
Currency
Names and values of the location's currencies in use appear in this section.
Transportation
Information on roads and navigable waterways appears here.
Military
Information on the location's military and naval forces falls under this section.
Maps
Maps of the location appear here.
Bibliography
