Great Council of Rel Mord
Nyrond went through a near-imperialistic phase, making both the County of Urnst and Theocracy of the Pale tributary states for a time. This changed under King Dunstan I the Crafty, who saw the threat of internal strife and external enemies, and called the Great Council of Rel Mord in 450 CY. resulting in those and Almor becoming independent and allied.[1]
In Harvester of 450 CY, King Dunstan I the Crafty of Nyrond called the Great Council of Rel Mord, holding six weeks of negotiation.[2][3][4] with ambassadors of the Almor, the Iron League, County of Urnst, and the Theocracy of the Pale. Troops were withdrawn from the County of Urnst and the Pale, and both gained independence. Almor was treated somewhat similarly. Aid was granted to the Iron League in the form of loans and treaties which assured its survival against the common enemy of the Great Kingdom.
Dragon Annual 4, p.21, gives the final date of the council meeting as Coldeven 19. This is inconsistent with the Living Greyhawk Gazetteer, which says they lasted six weeks from Harvester, as Coldeven is six months after Harvester.
