An experimental template to allow articles on Greyhawk sources to act as their own citation template. In general, you don't use this template directly, but instead include it on any page which can be cited as a source.

Usage

Generate bibliography template

To display a book's bibliography entry in Chicago Style, use the following style of syntax:

*{{:Living Greyhawk Gazetteer}}

Page redirects are respected, so you can often use an abbreviation:

*{{:LGG}}

Generate inline citation

Inline citations are important. If you provide a parameter after the name, it is taken as a page number, and produces an inline instead.

Some examples of valid formats:

{{:Living Greyhawk Gazetteer|65}}
{{:Living Greyhawk Gazetteer|87-91}}
{{:LGG|65}}

Handling box sets

If your product is a box set containing multiple books, you must specify the book in a second parameter. If the book doesn't have page numbers (e.g. a map or index card), leave the page number field empty. You can sometimes just name the book, in cases where aliases have been set up.

{{:World of Greyhawk Fantasy Game Setting|9|A Guide to the World of Greyhawk}}
{{:World of Greyhawk Fantasy Game Setting||Map}}
{{:Guide|9}}

Handling magazine articles

Titles of magazine articles can also be supplied in the second parameter. The magazines themselves should be written with the name followed by a number; e.g. "Dragon 263"; the page for that entry will automatically fill in other details.

{{:Dragon 263|46-48|The Oeridian Lesser Gods}}
{{:Dungeon 117|46|Touch of the Abyss}}

Add this template to a page

All articles on World of Greyhawk books should have this template.

==Bibliography==
* <onlyinclude>{{StandardRef
|title   = {{PAGENAME}}
|article = {{PAGENAME}}
|page    = {{{1|}}}
|sub     = {{{2|}}}
|year    =
|month   =
|abbr    =
|code    =
|prefix  =
|box     =
|canon   =
|cs      =
}}</onlyinclude>
title
Title of the book. You can almost always leave this as {{PAGENAME}}, but there may be special cases. For example, the page for WG7 Castle Greyhawk is located at "Castle Greyhawk (module)". To resolve this, a duplicate StandardRef template should be included in the page "Castle Greyhawk" inside <includeonly> tags, so that it works as editors expect.
article
Title of the book's article at this wiki. Usually the same as the title, but it may differ. For example, the "title" of WG7 is Castle Greyhawk, but the "article" is Castle Greyhawk (module).
page
Always leave this as {{{1|}}} for the template to work correctly.
sub
Always leave this as {{{2|}}} for the template to work correctly.
year
Year the book was first published.
month
(Magazine issues and online articles only) Month the issue was published.
abbr
A unique abbreviation for the book, e.g. "LGG". Used by the citation template.
code
TSR/WotC product code used in the bibliography, e.g. TSR11743.
prefix
Series code used to identify the book, e.g. WGR, WGA1, T1-4. Many products have no series code, and this can be left blank.
box
Does this product contain multiple books? "yes" in lowercase if it is, "no" or leave blank if it isn't. The dividing line is: can I cite a page in this product without having to specify which book? For example, you cannot cite The City of Greyhawk without specifying which of its books you are referring to.
canon
Canon status as per this wiki's canon policy. One of: "Canon", "Apocrypha", "Fan Work", or "Unknown".
cs
A full Chicago Style citation line for the book.
