How disappointing. The deity template is so much less useful than the character template when dealing with quasi-deities who have no domains or other godly attributes. The character template tells us how old he is, exactly where he lives, and his class levels. The deity template tells us basically nothing. I move it be reserved for personages of hero-deity status or higher.

• No need to be disappointed, Rip--this is fairly easy to fix. A number of the things you mentioned can be added to the deity template with no problem. I'm going to add gender & class to the deity template, then you can fill in the missing info on those deity & fiend articles you started. Age & place of origin, however, are more suited to the subject's "History," section--at least when dealing with beings of power. Using the "Character" info box for such beings, however, seems inaapropriate--they're deities, so should be recognized as such. An alternative would be to create a quasi-deity/hero-god infobox, but that creates more problems than it solves, because then one could argue for demon lord infoboxes, demigod infoboxes, archomental infoboxes, etc. Lastly, don't forget to use four tildes (~) to sign your posts on talk pages.--Robbastard 18:21, 10 September 2007 (EDT)
