Courwood is a city in the County of Ulek.
History
"While returning from a mission to the County of Ulek, the prince consort [of Celene] was waylaid and slain by orcs in a narrow pass south of the town of Courwood. His tragic death led the elves of Celene to spearhead the Hateful Wars."[1]
The County of Ulek supported the Principality of Ulek and Celene in the Hateful Wars.[2]
Geography and climate
Courwood is located in the Welkwood just on the eastern side of the Lortmil Mountains at the border of the County of Ulek and Celene. It is nestled between the foothills of the mountains and the Handmaiden River. Courwood is just north of the juncture of the Jewel and Handmaiden rivers.
Courwood (and its surrounding towns and villages) mark the southern border of the Welkwood, where it becomes the Suss Forest.[3]
People
Because of the support of the County in the Hateful Wars, an organization of rangers was formed, dedicated to Triserron of Celene, whose purpose was guarding the route between the Druid's Defile and Courwood.[2]
