Preston is a small elven outpost on the northern border of Oytwood, at the confluence of Javan River and Realstream.
History
Established before the formal founding of Geoff, Preston has long served as an outpost from which the high elves of Oytwood watch for invaders. It was first used as such during the Suel and Oeridian migrants, and recently during the giant's invasion.
Though heavily defended by its inhabitants, the giants captures Preston, forcing the surviving residents to flee to Hochoch or deeper into Oytwood, to the underground halls the elves had constructed there.
A few months ago, the elven forces have expelled the giants from Preston. The ruined dwellings in the treetops now serve as a base for a small garrison of elves tasked with holding it until more forces can be spared to rebuild it.
