History
Osmeran is a distant cousin of the Almorian war hero Osson. In 585 CY Osmeran was a Captain-General and garrison commander of Cordrend. He took the view that the more trouble the folf of the Adri Forest caused to the Great Kingdom the less trouble they would cause for Nyrond, and regularly met with their leaders including the elven mage Nukirien to exchange information and some goods. Nukirien would teleport to visit. Osmeran supplied what weapons he could in return for food (trasported with Nukirien's bag of holding). shortly prior to Spring 585 CY Adri forces staged a diversionary attack on a military camp northwest of Innspa, then drawing troops east in pursuit. A day later Osmeran' men mounted a planned raid a day later and slew over 250 humanoids and a visiting Aerdi general, leading to more coordinated raids being planned.[2] Osmeran would also meet regularly with Flandeld Soughdriver, the dwarven commander of Mistwatch (in the Flinty Hills to the north, who he thought highly of, to discuss their tactical situations.[3]
In 585 CY when garrison commander of Cordrend he managed to keep his troops generally well provisioned and equipped by overstating equipment losses in reports.[1]
