Mistwatch is a fortress on the eastern border of the Kingdom of Nyrond in the Flinty Hills.
Description
Mistwatch is an impressive and forbidding citadel fortress overlooking valleys and dales often filled with mists, dominating the local landscape and intimidating humanoid raiders from the nearby Bone March. It was built on top of a high, flat peak at the northern end of Snake Pass within the Flinty Hills. It is of dwarven design, and mostly built by dwarven engineers and laborers. There are 2 major silver mines in the dales within 3 miles, worked by over 800 gnomes who can retreat to the fortress for refuge. Mistwatch is under the command of a hill dwarf of the Nyrondese army, Flandeld Soughdriver. Regular patrols and attacks are made to the east, with support of the free folk of the Flint Hills there.[1]
