Kermin Mind-Bender is the most feared member of Iuz's Greater Boneheart.
Description
Kermin is swarthy and black-haired, with thick, bushy brows and obvious Baklunish features. He wears a turban that offers magical protection against malign mental effects. Kermin is tall, strong, and well-built, looking considerably younger than his seventy-two years of age. He is the greatest diviner among the Boneheart, but also has affinities with mind-affecting and mind-controlling magics. Kermin delights in breaking the wills of those under his charge, and he can produce a mind blast effect mimicking that of an illithid.
Relationships
A servant of Iuz the Old, Kermin Mind-Bender is disliked immensely by his former mentor, Alhamazad the Wise, and also counts Mordenkainen among his enemies. Kaquizel of the Lesser Boneheart dislikes Kermin because he is a rival diviner.
Jumper and Null of the Greater Boneheart ally with one another out of fear of Mind-Bender. Kermin keeps a particular watch on Althea and Halga, who form another rival faction within the Greater Boneheart, one he distrusts and dislikes.
Kermin Mind-Bender has a dozen mid-level mages and over forty lower-level ones scouring the Empire of Iuz for promising pupils for Kermin to train and add to his growing army of subordinates. Iuz has given his approval of this.
