"The Wizards Three" was a series of Dragon articles by Ed Greenwood. The articles featured a trio of wizards (usually Mordenkainen, Elminster of Toril and Dalamar of Krynn) who met on a mostly harmless alternate Oerth known as Earth in the dining room of author Ed Greenwood. There, they feasted (at Greenwood's expense) and swapped magical lore, which Greenwood would secretly record and use as fodder for articles in the magazine Dragon, after translating the spells into game terms.

The adventure Vecna: Eve of Ruin (2024) uses the name of the group to refer to Mordenkainen, Tasha, and Alustriel Silverhand (from Silverymoon in the Forgotten Realms), because they gather together similarly to the original three, and are called each others' "esteemed colleagues", "powerful friends", and "most powerful allies".[1]

The series began in Dragon #185 (1992), with only Mordenkainen and Elminster. Dalamar first appeared in Dragon #188, December 1992. Eleven articles appeared sporadically throughout the later publishing history of the magazine. In later installments, Dalamar was replaced with a young apprentice of Mordenkainen's, Rautheene. Greenwood would conclude the series by bringing back Dalamar for a final installment in Dragon #359, the final print issue of the magazine.
