Sword of Azor'alq is a magic item.
Description
The sword is very proud and only wants to be wielded by important people, preferring barons and kings. It expects to be carried in a jewel bedecked scabbard and its powerful ego will try to compel its wielder to search out powerful evil extra planar creatures and destroy them. It especially hates fiends of all sorts. It has a number of magical properties to help it fulfil its mission, it can sense evil and invisible creatures, give flight and disintegrate evil outerplanar creatures.
History
The sword was once the possession of the famous Elvish warrior Lerel Lethariel, it disappeared when Lerel fel to an ancient red wyrm in the Crystalmist Mountains. The ancient red wyrm, Sulphacitezus took the blade for its hoard and that's were it remains until this day. If there is a link with the deity Azor'alq only He knows.
