Wyverntor is defensive fortification and mining complex located south of Nulbish which is heavily garrisoned by Prince Harnnad of Darman, which produces rose quartz, moonstones, as well as aquamarine, which is quite unusual in the area.
Geography
The fort is south of the Thelly River, and in 585 CY, it was one of the few stable settlements south of the river.
Travel
The main point of entry and exit is a road leading north to the Nulbish, which is frequently threatened by bandits and raiders from Sunndi.
People
Demographics
There are two main groups of people living in Wyverntor. There are 300 men garrisoned by the prince, along with 50 elite heavy cavalry, and four wyvern riders who patrol the area, from which the castle gains its name. There are also always at least two mages posted in the castle as well.
The other main group is the miners. The back-breaking labor is done by a combination of hired hands, chain gangs formed from convicts under forced labor sentences, and humanoids. The work is overseen by dwarven and gnomish supervisors, some of whom are slaves.

The rose quartz, moonstones, and aquamarine mined outside of the castle are shipped north to Nulbish in caravans escorted by heavy cavalry, that often use spells such as invisibility 10' radius to help prevent attacks by raiders.
