Notes

The template has been pre-programmed with entries for nearly all first-party D&D/AD&D sourcebooks and magazine issues. To see the full list or correct errors, edit Template:Bibliography.

A few abbreviations and aliases are supported. In particular, the terms "Folio" and "Box" are recognized as aliases for the World of Greyhawk 1980 folio and 1983 box set respectively.

In cases where multiple books have the same name, it is necessary to disambiguate (see List of D&D products with similar names). This is usually done by suffixing the edition in parentheses; e.g. "Unearthed Arcana (1e)". Take care to cite the correct book.

Use of the code "subst:bib" is recommended for efficiency reasons, as the template is currently 392,418 bytes in size and contains over 1,000 entries. Using "subst" will paste the bibliography entry into the article rather than loading the template each time.

Pages transcluding the template

The following list of pages are currently transcluding this template instead of substituting it. Any articles doing so (other than the template itself and its documentation) should probably be fixed by adding "subst:" before the template name (i.e. {{subst:bib). If this box is empty, then no pages are transcluding it.
