Fleichshriver is a castle, the namesake of the Mighty Freehold, one of the Bandit Kingdoms.
Description
Ever since Iuz's takeover of the Bandit Kingdoms during the Greyhawk Wars, his influence can be felt throughout his expanded empire. One such example of this influence is Fleichshriver. This fortress is described as follows:
"This grim citadel of fiendish design and construction, with twisted towers and walls, viciously barbed iron railings, and grotesquely obscene fountains and decorated stonework."[1]
History
Geography
Fleichshriver is located in the northwest of the Bandit Kingdoms, in the Mighty Freehold.
People
The castle is home to significant hobgoblin and orc forces, who from here march on Iuz's enemies in the Fellreev Forest to the north and elsewhere.
Languages
Common, Orcish and the Goblin language are spoken here.
Resources
Fleichshriver boasts a gate to the Abyss, which Iuz's Boneheart make use of for calling demons to either bind to service or divine information from. In addition, the castle is where many of those Boneheart members conduct magical experiments, valuing the isolation and security that comes with being surrounded by an army of humanoids and strong stone walls. They produce strange shadowy monsters and powerful magical weapons.
Rumors & legends
Greater Boneheart members Halga, Jumper and Null are all known to frequent this place.
