Goldwhite is a thief of immense skill who has gained political power in the town of Tarrentch. She has retired from most active adventuring to run the town, in which has gained a retinue of followers. Her given name has been lost to time, but the name Goldwhite comes from her first major heist, which was a gilded marble statue. She has multiple bounties out on her head.
Description
Appearance
Goldwhite is 5'4" and has a slim build, weighing less than 100 lbs. She has dark blonde hair with a page boy cut, with slightly slanted, almond shaped hazel eyes and a "moonish"[1] face, with prominent cheekbones. She tends to wear white silk blouses with gold stitching most of the time, and a floppy raspberry-colored beret which is secretly a hat of disguise.
Personality
Goldwhite is known to be fiery, despite her small stature, and has a very "rough and ready"[2] conversational style thanks to her humble origins, which she does not talk about. She detests those who put on noble airs and patronize others. Flattery is a major weakness of hers, and she likes to say she's in her "early thirties" despite being 38.[2]. She is bubbly and charismatic and known to flaunt her wealth, often in front of from whom she has stolen. She is also very hard to deter once her mind is set on having something, and she likes to play mind games with her victims, letting them find out about her plans and then pull off the heist despite their increased security measures. She has no fear of imprisonment, having escaped from jails and dungeons multiple times in the past.[3] She is hesitant to ally with anyone, and she has a tendency to be less than trustworthy, although she tries not to leave her partners in bad situations.[2]
"If one agrees a 50/50 split of some booty with her, she will probably only end up taking 70% or so. "[2]
Abilities
Dex 18, Con 16, Int 18, Wis 17, Cha 18[1]
All of her thieves skills are also 95%.
Equipment and possessions
Most of the magical items that Goldwhite employs are related to aiding her in her thievery, although she does keep bracers of defense AC 2 and a ring of protection +5 for self-protection. Some of the items she employs for her thievery include essence of darkness, an amulet of dramatic death, custom made boots that combine the properties of boots of springing and striding and boots of speed, and her hat of disguise.
Relationships
Enemies
- Karasin-The noble put a bounty of 10,000 GP on Goldwhite's head after the thief stole all her jewelry and left her tied up in an undignified position, wearing nothing but her silk underwear. [3]
Allies and minions
Goldwhite maintains a whole mess of thieves headquartered in Tarrentch who are loyal to her, even those with evil alignments. About half a dozen of them are 9th level or higher, and some can use wizard spell scrolls. This guarantees that the town is well defended should it prove necessary. [2]
