The Keepers of the Vale are a group of Halflings who have long been dedicated to their homeland. Traditionally, they worked together to protect its borders, teach its children, and make it beautiful. It was considered fashionable for young Vale residents to join this group for a few years before settling down to raise a family[1]
The Keepers of the Vale, allied with the International Halfling Society, are based in Splendorrill, the new capital of the Low County. General members, called Sisters and Brothers, care for the Vale, while the most dedicated rise to become Matrons, regardless of gender. Matrons, seen as role models for Halflings, tirelessly work to support Halflings and the Vale, often traveling across the Flanaess to gather knowledge and resources for its defense.
