It sprung up, fully formed, within a week of the battle, and radiates alteration, abjuration, conjuration/summoning, and evocation magic.[1]
Description
"Bloodcrystal is a four-towered castle of great size with red crystalline fragmented cupolas atop each tower."[1] The castle has large iron gates that are magically protected against most intrusion and have been known to spit acid. There is a black rainbow-like apparition with red streaks seen in the sky above the fortress which drops bloody hail stones roughly the size of goose eggs.[1]
Geography
Bloodcrystal is approximatelyy 45 miles south-southeast of the Flessern River and about 75-80 miles northwest of the ruins of Appolled, almost due north of Chathold.[2]

Rumors & legends
There were two great fiery stone chariots, reported in 585 CY that were seen flying above the Sword Road, allegedly impervious to missile fire. They carrtied clumps of fiends who unleased cloudkill and acid onto the Nyrondese below. Archbold's Mages have suggested that these were transformed versions of the chariot of Sustarre spell.
