Montesser started out as a encampment of orcs and is rapidly growing into a proper town, with crops and dairy goats. Despite settling down, these orcs are not pushovers, and defend their territory fiercely. [1]

History

The town was founded, such as it was, toward the tail end of the Greyhawk Wars, afternthe sacking of Medegia, when a group of orcs decided that they were sick of war and getting kicked around by bigger orcs, and began using scavenged materials from all of the ruined villages that had been sacked to bulk up their encampment and started trying to grow crops. They managed to take a few goats that had been left behind, and went from there. [1]

Sometime in late 584 or early 585 CY, a ship from the Domain of the Sea Barons came across the settlement and, after failing to loot it, and being impressed with the defenders, made peace with the orcs living there, and began trading with them. [1]

Geography

The rapidly growing settlement is on the eastern coast of what was once Medegia, to the southeast of Mentrey, but farther north than Barrish.
