Montesser started out as an encampment of orcs and is rapidly growing into a proper town, with crops and dairy goats. Despite settling down, these orcs are not pushovers and defend their territory fiercely. [1]
History
The town was founded toward the tail end of the Greyhawk Wars, after the sacking of Medegia, when a group of orcs decided that they were sick of war and getting kicked around by bigger orcs, and began using scavenged materials from all of the ruined villages which had been sacked to bulk-up their encampment and started trying to grow crops. They managed to take a few goats that had been left behind, and went from there. [1]
Sometime in late 584 or early 585 CY, a ship from the Domain of the Sea Barons came across the settlement and failed to loot it. Being impressed with the defenders, they made peace with the orcs living there and began trading with them. [1]
Geography
The rapidly growing settlement is on the eastern coast of what was once the See of Medegia, to the southeast of Mentrey, but farther north than Barrish.
