Description

Flameflower is hidden within the Vesve Forest approximately 150 miles northeast of the town of Highfolk, and is an intricate network of treehouses connected by walkways and ladders. The central area of town holds structures developed for use by others visiting and residing within the village.

The town derives its name from the bright flameflower bushes which blossom into a vibrant crimson color at the beginning of each new year.[1]

History

The town itself has now become a meeting place for many of the residents of the Vesve, and Lord Kashafen holds court in Flameflower.[2] The other three leaders of the Vesve (Calandryen, High Priestess of Labelas Enoreth, Elrenn Walthain, Lord Marshal of the Vesve, and Loftin Greyhstand, Mayor of Highfolk Town) often attend court.

Geography

People

The high elves here are simple folk, yet they are true in their faith and devotion to Corellon and other Elven deities. So strong is their power that no one may approach within six miles of the village without their being aware of it. Flameflower is mainly populated by the Elven clan Shandareth.

The villagers have nothing but the utmost faith in their leaders, and are unswerving in their determination to keep their homeland free for generations to come

Rumors and legends

Legends say that as Corellon Larethian recovered from his battle with Gruumsh, he rested within the Vesve, and where he laid the bushes sprang from each drop of blood he spilt upon the land.[3]
