Established in 324 CY the Maure School of the Art and Science of Defense, commonly refered to as the Maure School of Defense, is an exclusive academy for the duchy’s elite, admitting only those of pure Suel heritage. In 534 CY, a dispute over expelling a student due to heritage led to the formation of the more liberal Leukish School of the Rapier, creating a lasting rivalry.
The Maure School emphasizes courtly arts, refined self-defense, and rapier training focused on parries and quick thinking.[1]
