The Gem of the Flanaess, the City of Hawks, the City of Thieves. Greyhawk City is located centrally within the Flanaess and controls the lands along the Selintan river from the Nyr Dyv to Woolly Bay; between the Cairn Hills and the Gnarley Forest. Rising to prominence after 310 CY, the city was led by the mage Zygig who became the Lord Mayor. Embarking on major building programs, he directed the construction of Castle Greyhawk, the city's first University, and re-inforced the city's walls.
Nestled in the Clerkburg quarter, found on the northeastern side of the middle part of the city, one will find the Great Library of Greyhawk. Please, come in, look around, and stay a while.
