Bersheba (seen also as Bersheben)[note 1] is a noblewoman of House Darmen in Ahlissa. She has survived several assassination attempts over the years, leading some to call her "Bersheben the Undying" [2]
Description
Appearance
Bersheba is a somewhat short, ample-figured aging woman. She loathes the way her age has made her body change, and takes pains to hide it, wearing tightened corsets and loose flowing gowns to hide the extra weight she's gained.[1] Also, "She wears a copper-brown wig to cover her own graying and thinning hair."[1]
Personality
She is a cruel and bitter woman, who has no qualms about lashing out and harming others (or having them harmed) simply out of spite, foul mood, or whim.[1] She also enjoys being a power broker, particularly with her brothers King Xavener and Prince Harnnad with neither quite knowing where they stand with her. [1]
Abilities
Dex 16, Int 17, Wis 15, Cha 16[1] with AC 2[1]
Home
Princess Berseheben maintains a home in the small town of Forinn, which is near Torrich.
Equipment and possessions
The princess has three main magic items that she is known to wear. For physical protection, she wears a cloak of displacement and a ring of protection +4. To help her maintain her inscrutability, she has a amulet of proof against detection and location.
Activities
The princess enjoys singing, often performing for visitors, though her voice is said to sound like "A cornflake infested with some painful parasite". [1] She also plays her own accompaniment on an "accordion like instrument." [1]
Relationships
Enemies
Allies and minions
Princess Bersheben maintains a force of roughly 800 orcs who fight for her. She uses them mainly for raids into the Grandwood, and as extra protection for her tithesmen. The orcs are extremely well disciplined, and widely detested, though also feared, by the peasants. In mechanical terms, 20% have 1+1 to 3+3 HD, and are using chainmail and shields, giving them an AC of 4. [3]
The princess has a younger sister, named Baaneth, who is a powerful mage who is in charge of the magical defenses at Spiral. [2]

Notes
- ↑ Ivid the Undying inconsistently refers to Bersheben as Bersheba throughout the text. It is clear, however, the same elder Princess is being referred to throughout. In both title sections which bear her name, and in her stat block, her name is given as Bersheben. However, the Living Greyhawk Gazetteer only gives the name Bersheba. Therefore for the purposes of this wiki, the confirmed name in the newer source is presumed to be the preferred spelling. It is possible she is referred to by both names in-character, as a shortened form or with Bershben being a more formal form.
