Cantona is a settlement in the area known as the Wild Coast, along the western coast of Woolly Bay.
History
In 495 CY, a Suloise mage named Valterna moved to the town and built extensive magical fortifications. This caused problems in later years as the wards began to warp and fail over the decades and after Valterna's death magic became altogether unstable in the region.[1]
The town was later taken over by the Orcish Empire of the Pomarj in 584 CY, during the Greyhawk Wars. The Greyhawk Militia from Safeton counterattacked and burned the whole town nearly to the ground.[1][2]
People
The orcs who still occupy what is left of the ruined town mostly inhabit underground tunnels beneath the ruins.[1]
