Greyhawk Online is a small, third party publisher known for publishing the Oerth Journal magazine.
History
Greyhawk Online was originally founded by Issak Haywood and was a site for compiling links and resources for fans of the World of greyhawk setting. Haywood later used the site to host the regional Triad's website for the Pale region in the Living Greyhawk campaign (where it is still hosted) after it moved from it's original location at thepale.org.
Greyhawk Online (under Haywood) began as the "Provider" of the Oerth Journal in 2006[1] and continued as the provider/publisher of the Oerth Journal through 2018 (and after) when a new editor came on board and began Volume 3.
When the website's domain registration was about to expire in 2018, Haywood passed ownership of the site to Kit Nolen, who became Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of the Oerth Journal from issue #28 (vol.III No. 1). Nolen updated the site to a more contemporary format. The original GreyhawkOnline.com was largely a list of links with resources, but Nolen began publishing new articles of interest to Greyhawk fans directly on the site. Nolen also syndicated articles of interest from a few contribuing blog authos. Previous subdomains of GreyhawkOnline.com were also updated to a modern format, and some older external Greyhawk sites which had become defunct (like Grodog's Greyhawk by Krista Siren) were updated and rehosted on GreyhawkOnline.
The site has hosted Grodog's Greyhawk almost since GHO's inception. Grodog's Greyhawk is the work of published Greyhawk author and industry insider Allan T. "grodog" Grohe, jr. of Blackblade Publishing. He is a noted reseacher, game historian, and author of numerous products. He also was responsible for facilitating the transfer of GHO from Haywood to Nolen.
