Idani
Idani trees have been reported only in the Valley of the Mage. They have tall, waxy trunks, and in adult specimens the branches begin about 12 feet from the ground, rising in a spiral to the top of the tree.
The leaves of the idani tree are about a foot long, thick, and have a shiny, waxy coating on the top side. The fruits are shaped similarly to bananas, but larger. They are firm, tart, and a dusty rose hue; they ripen to a deep purple and become pulpier and very sweet.
The valley elves and gnomes sometimes trade idani fruit to those outside the Vale, commanding high prices for such exotic fare.
Wood from the idani tree is preferred by the valley elves for making bows and arrows, since it's supple yet strong.[1]
