Mastryne Castle (or Castle Mastryne) is a minor settlement in the Welkwood, centered around a four-towered stone castle.[1] Resisting efforts to be absorbed into the political orbit of the Domain of Greyhawk, and fiercely dedicated to the destruction of humanoids.
History
Lord Mastryne often leads his black plate mail-clad men-at-arms and others on raids of the buffer zone in the Wild Coast. On some occasions, spies reported that flame strike spells[2] were cast on these enemies, indicating the presence of formidable priests.
Geography
Castle Mastryne is at the edge of the Welkwood to the southwest of Narwell. It is just outside the jurisdiction of the Domain of Greyhawk, and just north of the Wild Coast, in the buffer zone. Narwell has a direct road link[3] to Castle Mastryne.
Lord Mastryne claims "a 15-mile radius east of the Jewel River."[4]
