The Emporium is a center for entertainment located in the Diamond Lake town square.
Description
"The Emporium exists to separate men from their money."[2]
The Emporium was originally only a vice den founded by Zalamandra. She later seduced Professor Montague Marat, proprietor of a traveling sideshow and curiosity collection. Together they created The Emporium. The professor left Diamond Lake in 592 CY[1] (ending up in Alhaster)[3], leaving Zalamandra the sole proprietor.[1]
Zalamandra does not tolerate misbehaviour, neither amongst her staff nor amongst her patrons.[4] Thus, the Emporium is considered neutral ground where even hated enemies are not allowed to act out—or they deal with Kurlag the half-ogre bouncer.[5]
