This template is for use in any article about a creature native to the World of Greyhawk™ campaign setting.

Usage

Copy and paste this section at the top of the article, and fill in the information areas. The image and caption parameters are optional, but are preferred.

The recommended image size is a width of 250px so that it will completely fill the infobox without increasing its size.

If any fields are left undefined they will not appear.

Do not add wiki links to alignments.

Caption—describe the image briefly. Cite which product the illustration is from and the artist or creator. Othername—if the creature has a different name, list it here. E.g., "noniz"" for halfling or "hueleneaer" for desert centaurs. Size—the typical size category of this type of creature. (usually Small, Medium, Large, etc.) Alignment—the typical alignment of the subject. First—the first appearance of the creature in official published material. Use a wikilink in double braces [[like this]] to link to pages if it is an official Greyhawk source. Patron deity—a particular deity or pantheon which members of the creature's culture may typically favor. Type and Subtype—the general description of the creature using game-terms; Some creatures have further modifiers (subtypes) to describe something which makes them different than others of their type, such as subraces. E.g. Doppelgängers are "humanoid (shapechanger)". Other subtypes include: air, aquatic, chaotic, cold, earth, electricity, evil, incorporeal, fire, good, lawful, reptilian, or swarm. Types are not specified in 1e and 2e, but are given in 3e, 4e, and 5e. Fifth edition types include the following: Aberration Beast Celestial Construct Dragon Elemental Fey Fiend Giant Humanoid Monstrosity Ooze Plant Undead Additionally, there may be a "tag" or tags in parentheses after the type, such as humanoid (orc). Place those under the subtype parameter. The playtest for the iteration of D&D after fifth edition also uses the same creature types. Fourth edition types for creatures (often with one or more added keywords) are: Animate Beast Humanoid Magical beast There are also many "keywords"—angel, demon, devil, dragon, giant, undead, reptile, mount, construct, shapechanger, spider, etc. Place these in the subtype parameter. "Origins" are also used, which are related to particular planes—aberrant, elemental (air, earth, fire, water)], fey, immortal, natural, and shadow (or Shadowfell). Also place these in the subtype parameter. Third edition types are: Animal Aberration Beast Construct Dragon Elemental Fey Giant Humanoid Magical beast Monstrous humanoid Ooze Outsider Plant Shapechanger Undead Vermin Subtypes for third edition include— Air, Angel, Aquatic, Archon, Augmented, Baatezu, Chaotic, Cold, Dragonblood, Earth, Elf, ElectricityEvil, Extraplanar, Fire, Goblinoid, Good, Incorporeal, Lawful, Living Construct, Native, Obyrith, Orc, Reptilian, Shapechanger, Swarm, Tanar'ri, Water, and Yugoloth.
