The Union of Beggars is an association of professional beggars based in the Slum Quarter (S3) of the City of Greyhawk. It's activities are outside the purview covered by other criminal organizations in the city. Much like it's sister-guild, the Guild of Thieves, it is "a 'legal' but criminal organization; its existence is not officially acknowledged but is commonly known throughout the city."[1]

Publishing history
The Union of Beggars appeared in Saga of Old City (1985), a Gord the Rogue novel. Some of the history found therein was later canonized in later officially published sourcebooks like The City of Greyhawk (1989) boxed set, and The Adventure Begins (1998), and even later in Living Greyhawk Journal #17, which has the most extensive and in-depth look at the organization.[2]
