Derider Fanshen is a former Constable of the City,
Description
Derider Fanshen (female human cleric 7/radiant servant 7 [Pelor], AL NG) retired at the end of 591 CY to pursue a life of service to Pelor, and as a legal defender[1]. Etin Derecs replaced Derider as Constable of Greyhawk when she retired in 591, who was later replaced by Sir Gavin Ambus.
She is a tall woman at 5'10" tall, with tan skin, honey blonde but greying hair, and bright grey eyes. She's attractive and keeps herself in good physical shape.[1].
Derider never married, but occasionally had romantic relationships.
Personality
Well known for her mercy, compassion, and clumsiness (Dex 4), everyone misses her. She has a longstanding reputation for being personable, wise, warm, and is greatly trusted by many[1]. Although Derider is kind, she is shrewd as well and an excellent judge of character.[2]
Derider is known for not being quick to anger. But, when she does, it is always with just cause and she is implacable.[2] Especially in the face of deliberate unprovoked acts of evil or malice. On these rare occasions, those who know her carefully heed what she says and does. Despite her primary focus of healing, she'll use the full power of her magic in such times![3]
Even Nerof Gasgol has come to regret her leaving, as the priceless works of art she routinely tripped over and destroyed were worth considerably less than what the corruption of Etin Derecs cost, or what the uncompromising honesty of Sir Gavin Ambus now costs.

Possessions
Derider Fanshen has been known to carry her favorite weapon - a staff of striking.
She owns a home just north of the Free City Arena on University Street just across the street from the Clerkburg City Watch Station (C13).[6] It is a cozy, two-story, half-timber house similar to other homes in the city and is furnished simply, but with excellent quality furniture. She lives alone with three cats.[7]
Activities
Fanshen sometimes has a soft spot for the poor and downtrodden, and has been known to visit the slums to heal the sick and injured. As an advocate for those in need, the poor of the Free City often leave petitioners at her residence, seeking help for themselves, their friends, or family. She always tries help if she's able.
Renown for defending the rights of the poor, and makes homeless children in the Old City one of her greatest causes.
Relationships
Derider is very close friends with both Jallarzi Sallavarian and High Matriarch Sarana. She keeps in touch with old friends and family, and is a popular guest at parties.
History
Derider grew up in a fairly normal middle-class family. Her love of animals and taking care of all the sick or hurt animals she found was eclipsed only by her being all thumbs. She was asked to train to become a priestess of Pelor by the local church in the Free City when they became aware of her ability and interest. After becoming a novice priestess, she adventured for several years, but eventually returned to the city full-time after she inadvertently broke both a decanter of endless water and a beaker of plentiful potions. She still remains friends with her former adventuring companions who live in the city. [8] Now she is trusted by the Directing Oligarchy as their healer when they are ill or injured.
Derider returned to the Temple of Pelor (G10) returned to her duties where her ham-handedness still sometimes caused problems. Eventually, a constable passed away after being cared for devotedly by Derider, and she was offered the post.
