Hintervoormann

A Hintervoormann is a political position in the nation of Perrenland. They are refered to as 'Honoured Sir/Madam'.
A Hintervoormann is the political head of a canton and heads the Cantonal Council for that region. The position is an elected one, although the eletion process, the criteria for election and length of time between elections vary from canton to canton. At present (591 CY) there are eight Hintervoormenn as there are eight cantons.
Once elected, the Hintervoormann is expected to appoint eight munistres, who form the executive body of the Cantonal Council. The Hintervoormann also has a seat on the Concatenated Council, thus giving their canton a voice in the federal government.
