Oytmeet is a medium sized in the realm of Geoff, located about 25 miles north of Gorna, at the confluence of the Blue Oyt and the White Oyt rivers.
History
The town was founded by a small merchant company as a way station on the road between Gorna and Pregmere. Soon a small dock was built to repair ships travelling down the rapids of the White Oyt. The fertile lands around the town encouraged further settlement and so the community grew and prospered.
In 583 CY, during the invasion of Geoff, Oytmeet was captured by a small army of Orcs supported by some Cyclops and Ettins.
Economy and Transportation
There is much traffic by road using the three bridges of Oytmeet to cross the Oyt River. Ships travel the White Oyt River between Gorna and Preston, and further along the Javan and Realstream River. The docks here can repair lighter damage to ships. Some timber is floated down the Blue Oyt River from Hornwood forest, to be used for buildings and the docks.
On the local marketplace, passing caravans can buy provisions, which is often cheaper here as in Gorna. Several inns offer the last comfortable night on the way to Pregmere.
Military
During the occupation, the Orcs built a six-foot palisade around the town, as well as watchtowers near all the bridges. The orc's garrison amounts about 150 warriors, plus the same amount of females and twice as much children. They are supported by three Ettins and two Cyclops.
