Palindren is the high priest of Zilchus in the Kingdom of Nyrond.
Description
Palindren was high priest of Zilchus in Nyrond in Spring 585 CY. He is a "forceful" man.[1]
Palindren is one of the few publicly known members of the Sagacious Society.[2]
History
The church of Zilchus in Nyrond was angry because trade and exchange had collapsed by 585 CY. Palindren insisted Nyrond had grown strong through trade and would perish if trade suffered. He raged at the corruption of various landowners and militias who were robbing merchants and farmers. He told King Archbold III to his face he should step aside in favor of Lynwerd, which resulted in him being banished from the king's circle of close advisers.[1]
In Living Greyhawk
Palindren was only mentioned in Living Greyhawk in the Nyrond region[citation needed] as being a known member of the Sagacious Society, which is a reiteration of information from WGR4 The Marklands.
