Khellek is a human wizard who sells arcane spellcasting services in Free City of Greyhawk and once competed in the Champion's Games in the Free City Arena.
Description
Khellek is an older, dark-haired human man with white streaks at temples, but his age has never been explicitly stated. However, he is called "old" and his receding hairline is noted to indicate "advancing age"[1].
He is often seen wearing a red cape[1][2] (shown in gallery) with skull clasp over a green jerkin and pants.[1]
Personality
Witty and willful, Khellek is depicted as being haughty or hubristic and can come off as pompous, especially when it comes to dragonchess. He refuses requests for games against an opponent who does not own a personal set of playing pieces.[1] He does not take all people seriously and is used to being a leader in a group setting or being in authority.
Abilities

In Khellek's first appearance in the Age of Worms, he is fifth level, and his ability scores are Str 8, Dex 14, Con 13, Int 16, Wis 10, Cha 12.[3]
By tenth level, his Intelligence is raised by one point to 17, and his Headband of Intellect enhances him further to Int 19[4].
Possessions
Khellek is not shown to possess many noteworthy magical items. He does wear a Headband of Intellect later in his career[4].
He owns a black stone tower in the Free City's River Quarter, on the narrow bluff backed up against the Nobles' Wall, overlooking the Cargo Gate.
Activities
Khellek entertains potential clients who are interested in purchasing arcane scrolls or spellcasting services at his tower in the Free City[5].
Khellek is a known avid player of Dragonchess. He played extensively at Lazare's[6] in Diamond Lake and was the reigning dragonchess champion at the Green Dragon Inn in 597 CY[5].
Relationships
At his tower in the Free City, Khellek has a manservant and cohort named Arodotus (N male human fighter 6) who screens Khellek's vistors[1].
Khellek was a member of "Auric's Warband" in the Champion's Games in the Free City Arena. He and Auric were noted for having "the Leatherworks" on their team, three flesh golems which were made by Khellek utilizing flesh golem manuals given to him by Loris Raknian, then-Director of the Arena (in 595 CY).[4]
He is also a member of the Seekers and wears a simple silver signet ring showing their symbol, an eight-pointed star.[1][6]
History
Khellek's early career were filled with "adventuresome journeys" around the domain of Greyhawk[5] with his boon companions Auric and Tirra. They explored the Stirgenest Cairn tomb in the Cairn Hills[2][6][7].
