Tavish (Tavish I), the Duke of Gradsul of the House of Rholan, became the king of Keoland in 287 CY.[6] His policies included a program of castle-building in the frontiers and abolishing some of the prohibitions against magic. Tavish I negotiated a treaty in 292 CY formalizing the union of the Ulek states with Keoland. This was part of a renewed policy of expansion and imperialism for the Kingdom of Keoland.[6] In 295 CY, in alliance with Prince Olinstaad Corond of the Principality of Ulek invaded and conquered the Pomarj.[7] Tavish I was able to send ambassadors to the court of Celene at Enstad, which tolerated the establishment of Keoish outposts. [6] The influx of the Baklunish Brazen Horde into Ket in the early fourth century CY resulted in Tavish I founding the Knights of the Watch, a new international knighthood.[8]
Upon the death of Tavish I in 346 CY, his son, Tavish II, asserted the "Keoish Manifest Destiny" via the Wealsun Proclamation.[9]
